Comprehension Interventions
These interventions are designed to increase reading comprehension skills and develop strategies for accessing information in langer reading passages and texts. These are generally most appropriate for students with adequate phonics and fluency skills who have difficulty gaining understanding from the text they read.
Questions to Support Comprehension
The pdf offers teachers question prompts for both fiction and non-fiction texts. These questions support readers they examine story plot, events, character, setting, theme, language and connections that we make. For non-fiction text, questions surround the content of the text, style, text structure, features, and personal connections about the topic.
